Dame DJ has written a very good and informative story. I particularly enjoy the audio version of this book. This is profound food for thought for all of us tackling the disease of addiction both for us personally and our family members. This is a multifaceted disease. I very much enjoyed this and will recommend it to may friends and family.
A rare and personal first hand insight into the complicated world of dope addiction written by a family member. The Dope Diet records two years and a real page-turner that proved difficult to put down because we identify with the characters. After I read this I realise how complex and multi layered all addictions can be and what a dangerous balance we struggle with. Dame DJ gives a heart felt account of conflicting emotions and frustrations, and I really want to know what happens to David Grey. We have struggled with alcoholism in my family and this was insightful and honest which could be very helpful for those going through similar struggles with family members. I have started reading The Pot Hole to understand David Greys perspective and get the full picture.
